A majority of oral surgery procedures are only covered under a dental insurance policy, and for your convenience, we will file with your primary dental insurance. Dr. Miller is in-network providers with Delta Dental PPO.
Though we are in-network with this company, most insurance carriers cover dental procedures under dental plans including the removal of wisdom teeth that is not dependent on network status. Some dental insurance plans require a denial from the medical insurance provider to process dental benefits.
Please remember that insurance is considered a method of reimbursing the patient for fees paid to the doctor and is not a substitute for payment. Some companies pay fixed allowances for certain procedures and others pay a percentage of the charge. It is your responsibility to pay any deductible amount, co-insurance or any other balance not paid for by your insurance company on the day of the surgery. You will be liable for all collection costs, attorney fees and court costs should you fail to meet your financial responsibility.
Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. A statement will be mailed to you if a balance remains. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Your prompt remittance is appreciated.
If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. They are well informed and up-to-date. They can be reached by phone at 405-624-1300 or 800-352-8685.
