What can I expect during the procedure?
Receiving All-on-4 implant supported dentures is an oral surgery that involves the insertion of dental implants into the jawbone. Over time, bone will fuse to the surfaces of dental implants to hold them in place for decades (and even a lifetime) to come. During your procedure, however, we will take all measures necessary to ensure your comfort. Local anesthetics and sedating medication will be administered to help you feel relaxed and at ease. These medications also allow our team to work efficiently so that you can return home as soon as possible.
What happens after my surgery?
After your surgery, you will be given a packet of detailed post-operative instructions. These instructions will contain information on dietary restrictions, medication usage and dosage recommendations, and tips for post-operative oral hygiene. The days following surgery, you will be instructed to eat liquid and soft foods like broth-based and pureed soups, smoothies, and steamed vegetables. Be sure to follow our instructions exactly as directed. If you have questions about your post-operative instructions, call our office during normal business hours.
How do I know if All-on-4 is right for me?
The only way to be certain that All-on-4 meets your tooth replacement needs is to schedule a consultation with one of our skilled our oral surgeons. At your appointment, we will take diagnostic images, perform a thorough oral examination, and ask you questions about your health history. Some patients with certain health conditions and lifestyle habits may not be eligible for this procedure.
